Some of you will remember my friend AJ (or Amber). We met at State and have kinda-sorta kept in touch. She's always been tons of fun. She's absolutely hilarious and brilliant to boot. We were always doing something weird and crazy... nothing was ever off the table. My day was never complete until I got her laughing so hard that she started to snort.

AJ had her ankles crushed in a car wreck in high school. She had trouble with her ankles sometimes, but she never let it slow her down. Her ankle problems eventually put her in a wheelchair. In order to get her active life back again, she had one of her legs amputated below the knee. In true AJ style, she rode a bike with other amputees across the US in 2006. She recently had her 2nd leg removed and is on the ride again. You can go to http://amputeesacrossamerica.com and read the journal entries which are pee-your-pants funny. I can't believe I even know someone like her. She's amazing.

On a less impressive side... Audrey is learning how to feed herself yogurt with a spoon and I got 13" of my hair wacked off.
