Crusin' the Coast '08

One of my favorite events of the year is going to Crusin' the Coast in Ocean Springs. While the entire Gulf Coast participates, there's just nothing like all those old cars in picturesque downtown OS. This year the place was PACKED!! They had cars crammed down every street they possibly could. It was great.

Petting Zoo

So I had bronchitis, and Audrey had a cold... so we decided to infect the general public by spending lunch at the MS State Fair's petting zoo.

$1 for a bag of sliced carrots to feed the animals.... BEST deal at the fair!!

Our Weekend in Huntsville

A few weekends ago we traveled to Huntsville, Al for Bryan and Rebecca's wedding. We also went to a children's museum to keep the kiddo amused. Without further delay here are the pictures.

Our Budding Artist

Audrey is finally starting to color with crayons rather than eating them. She got a pencil and started coloring on an envelope this afternoon. When she continued to do it for about 20 min, I set her up on her little table with her crayons. She stayed there for another 25 min. The girl has a long attention span! She gets the art bug from both sides, so I guess I shouldn't be so surprised.

Pontoon boat weekend

Holden finally got a pontoon boat after years of begging by his children. "Can we have a boat, Dad? Can we have a boat, Dad? Can we have a boat, Dad?" So, on Saturday we went out on the boat. We had a wonderful time, and Audrey REALLY had a great time. She spent most of her time looking over the edge, concentrating on the water and scenery. I hardly heard a peep out of her, she was so focused on the experience of it.

Girls Weekend in Destin

"The Girls" went to Destin for a weekend. Mom, Audrey, Julie, and I went to Destin with Todd (we made him speak in a high pitched voice and wear a bra - trust me, he wished he had stayed home) shared a one room condo. We had a large time on the beach, the pool, and at Seaside, FL. We learned that Audrey HATES sand, but doesn't mind some big splashy waves.

Audrey's new table

This table has been floating around the family for awhile. Amanda played with it at her Grandmother's house and I got it at some point when I was in college. Now, Audrey has it and we've recently put her doll house on it. Aunt Julie found the chairs. Audrey LOVES it.

Audrey 15 months

As of the 21st Audrey is 15 months old. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday morning and everything was right on schedule. She has a vocabulary of about 10 words, throws balls, feeds herself, can pull shorts off once they're down to her calves and can put an arm in a shirt. She also can point to her ears, which she even demonstrated for Dr. Smith. She doesn't have much stranger fear. Mostly she just has a little "I'm cute and shy" act that she pulls. She's also off the bottle and a big fan of sippie cups. She weighed 27lbs and was 32.5" tall which puts her in the 95-98 percentile, so she's a big girl. I looked it up and she's basically the size of a 21 month old.
